JPA has launched its commercial side after much market demand. This division is headed up by Charlie Ryan who has spent 9 years in Commercial Recruitment and feels there is still a golden opportunity to bring the qualitative feel to the temporary world.
JPA has already led the field providing service to its clients across the various disciplines of permanent recruitment. In response to the ever-increasing demand, JPA Commercial was launched to provide a fast, professional solution for our clients. JPA Commercial provides high-calibre candidates into a variety of roles, spanning a number of industry sectors. We have access to over 10,000 candidates who are seeking temporary positions each year.
This also allows the
try before you buy
factor to new clients who feel they have been let down in the past and more importantly it will allow us to cover those short term positions.
James Pritchard, Managing Director of JPA Group of Companies states "We are determined to
'bring a permanent feel to a temporary world'
and in the few months we have been operating we can already provide testimonials to that effect.
Charlie reiterates, "We want to remove the perception that a temporary candidate can be less able than a candidate who would be suitable for the permanent role. After all the temporary candidate has less of an induction, often has to take things on board at a faster pace and demonstrate their worth in the role. We are removing the, 'we only need a temp' or it’s 'just a temp' perception and ensuring the best candidate for each role is provided, regardless of whether that role is temporary or permanent."
"We have already made a difference to a number of organisations and are increasing weekly which proves the market demand is very much there."
If you would like a face to fact meeting please call 020 7821 4824 and speak to one of the commercial consultants.

JPA Buys back shares from Pertemps
JPA Recruitment now in its 7th year of trading has bought back 20% of the shares from the 25% shareholding Pertemps had in JPA.
James Pritchard the group MD commented, "We sold 25% to Pertemps in 2000 to help facilitate JPA's growth by taking over all JPA's back office functions allowing it to concentrate on sales. It also enabled JPA to move into a spectacular office location next to Buckingham Palace which needed a large covenant.
Tim Watts, Chairman of Pertemps helped JPA grow from 8 staff in 2000 to 34 currently and open 3 new branches. It has been a great partnership which has allowed JPA to grow into a major voice for its sectors."
JPA has now put the 20% share buy back into an EMI option share scheme available to its managers.

New REC division
A new division of the REC is planned be up and running in the new year. The focus of this new division will be to improve the image of the rec to rec sector and it will have its own code of conduct.
James Pritchard, Managing Director of JPA, and a newly appointed regional director of the REC for London, is one of the prime movers behind the scheme. He says the new division would have a formal complaints line to police the industry.
If Members of the new division want to further demonstrate their professional integrity, they can also opt for an audit by the REC. This system of self-regulation would make sure that all sector members adhere to their code of conduct. Pritchard said, "if people sign a code of conduct and then they throw it in the bin and don't do what they say, they will not be well looked upon by other members of the group".
He added: "If you go against the REC code of conduct, you could be struck off. If an agency is not a sector member and not a member of the REC, you deal with them at your peril."
The R2R forum - set up earlier this year by leading rec to rec companies - would continue as a managing director's dinner club.
November 2004
